Capacity of the tourist accommodation in the Turks and Caicos Islands, 2020

The dataset comprises an information about locations and number of available bedrooms for all the types of tourist accommodation in the Turks and Caicos Islands. The data was collected in November 2020.

Lineage The locations of accommodation sites were collected mostly from OpenStreetMap and Google Maps. Number of bedrooms was collected from various available websites including: tripadvisor, vrbo, airbnb and websites of the properties if available. The dataset was prepared in WGS84 coordinate system using Bing satellite imagery as a background. The dataset was created in order to estimate an impact of tourism industry to the marine environment in the Turks and Caicos Islands and should not be used for other purposes.
