Lineage | Vulnerable areas were identified by stakeholders using aerial image based maps of the area. On every workshop two groups were created and every group had two maps: one small covering the island on which the workshop took place, and one large covering all the Turks and Caicos Islands. Every stakeholder selected up to three vulnerable areas, stick pink labels on the map and wrote why he or she considers it as a vulnerable area on every label. The maps were later on georeferenced and the information from labels was entered to the shapefile database. The points were placed in the center of every label. Vulnerable areas in the dataset were divided to reason, place of the workshop and type of the map (large or small). |
